Srudenr council elections, which were held in rhe Fall, turned into somewhat of a bottle of rhe sexes, os December Saucedo and Tonia Sloan ran against rhe flamboyant ream of Dob Yeager and Lance Malburg. After each side presented their platform in rhe election assembly, rhe following were elected by rhe sru­ denr body: December Saucedo, pres­ ident, Tonia Sloan, vice president; Hoi ly C o fe r, treasurer,- and Susy Blackmer, secretary. Although this government didn't begin new programs, it did manage

to maintain rhe established activities that many students rake for granted. As Jeff Gebharr, junior representative explained, "Student council tried to organize assemblies and homecom­ ing. Wirhour it, there may have been no homecoming.'' Approximately every two weeks, rhe council met with their advisor, principal, Richard Huntington. In addi­ tion to rhe officers, each class elected four representatives. During these meetings rhe group discussed ways to improve rhe school. By Tonia Sloan, senior
