Due to increased srudenr inreresr, the building trades program was rein stated in the curriculum. During the year, this class of 13 students, under the instruction of Mr. James Quinn, managed to build a three bedroom, 28'/48' house, with a connecting 20'/28' garage. They began in September with two and a half weeks of book work. Then began the construction process. Bids were taken in mid March for the house located in Meadow Brook sub division. It was completed in May. Working in pairs, the students built

the house from the basement up. This was conducted between fourth- sixth hours, and each srudenr earned three credits. Although this was primarily a work class, some text work was required. This dealt with certain stages in the process such as, electrical, plumbing etc. When asked to comment concern ing the course, Mr. Quinn responded, "I felt very satisfied with the work shown by the class, and with their house."
